I was the National President of the Association of Speakers Clubs and am a member of the Wigan Speakers Club.  My various talks arose from my becoming a member of that Club.  I now have 5 different talks. 

I was a Samaritan for 10 years.   I worked for nearly 50 years for the Pilkington Family Trust in St Helens (a charity supporting retired employees of the Pilkington Glass Manufacturers). I was the Business Administration Manager responsible for HR, Health and Safety, IT, facilities management, company secretariat and fleet - a jack of all trades, master of none.  I was also a Trustee for 20 years of the Pilkington Superannuation Pension Scheme.
