Wives, Workers and Widows charts the changing expectations of women on the home front during The Great War.   An Illustrated talk about the Great War with a Lancashire focus.  One of the first talks I wrote and was initially presented as part of the BBC Lives of The Great War Roadshows during the 1914-1918 Centenary Commemorations. I have presented this many times since and it is still very popular.

Unmistakably Lancastrian and very chatty.  She has shared her love of local and women's history for many years. After university study, she worked for Cultural Services, recently deciding to finish work and concentrate on her own research. She volunteers at Fleetwood Museum and enjoys time with family, who thankfully also love museums and historic sites
