Members wishing to join the group should contact the Administration Group Leaders Linda, Margaret or Pam by clicking on the Group Email link above and provide your LSA U3A membership number as well as email and/or telephone number.

A certain level of fitness and appropriate clothing/footwear is required as walks are typically five to seven miles long and can take up to three hours. Please use the links in the green buttons below to open specific items related to the Walking Group. A Walking Group 'Terms and Conditions' document has been produced and group members are asked to familiarise themselves with it.

PLEASE READ THE NOTES BELOW DESCRIBING HOW TO JOIN THE WALKS

Once you have joined the Walking Group look out for an email the week before each walk providing the final walk description, details, meeting point and start time.
Email your intention to walk to the Walk Leader detailed on the email. For safety and operational reasons limits may be applied to the number of walkers permitted on walks.
Walkers wanting a lift or car-sharing should make their own arrangements. Please ensure you arrive at the meeting point in good time for the start.
Have emergency contact details in your rucksack. A Walkers Contact Information Sheet is available to download for this (See the green buttons below)
Please consider using walking poles, both for your own safety and for the safety of others.
